I have not logged in for a very long time and had stopped searching for a while since some of the sentimental value diminished post divorce. I missed it and only noticed it a few months later. At the time, I had just purchased a 73 450SL (sold now) so would have been SOL had I saw the 944 anyway. I tried posting on BAT asking winner to contact me to no avail since I have some stuff from that car still. If it pops up again down the line, I’d like to try to buy it. My wife now is a huge car girl and still has her first car (old E46), so it would be awesome if we both eventually had our first cars together. Both apparently are projects. The 944 is certainly rougher than when I had it!

Well at least you know the car still exists, and where to find it. Looks like it sat outside and probably leaked water on the rear seats. Not sure how long the pilot owned it for but you would think he would have been more fastidious. Another surprise is how much the 944 market has changed. I haven't been tracking it lately but that would have been a 4-5k car on Craigslist in the not too distant past. My 86 looks just like this car minus the flaws, still have it after 21 years, lots of temptation to sell it for dumb reasons over the years, but glad I kept it.
