Default To Tie-Wrap or Not...?

Ok, here's one... Does anyone here know if the early fuel lines get tie-wrapped to the intake manifold? I found pics of a very low mileage (7k presumably) 83 with lines secured and an 84 (also with reported 7k miles) without the tie-wrap.

In my continued, ridiculous pursuit of getting my car factory correct (ish), I'm reaching out to the group. Thanks! Patrick

I would say no, not to the manifold. One tie wrap, near the oil fill and gathering only the two hoses seems to be consistent. In this image from the Peter Morgan book (published 27 years ago) the car in the photo appears to be new, although ROW build.

That looks like an aftermarket throttle response cam on that car?

In which case it’s a modified car and likely a picture from a later edition of his book.

I agree about there not being a tie-wrap there

Ah Ha! Good catch, I missed that from being so mesmerized by the condition under that hood. Now I wonder when the first aftermarket throttle wheel showed up.

Interesting as I've been trying document all the places the factory used tie-wraps on my Turbo.
