Porsche 944 Turbo oil

I don't know what improvement Jimbo1111 has noticed.. but when I got my car, it was burning a bit of oil, even with the infamous Valvoline VR1 20w-50. So, I bought this really thick LM 10w-60 and the Lord is my witness I don't need to add but maybe a litre between changes ever since. And now it's got three times the miles! In fact, even with the 10w-40 from LM I use in the winter, nothing changes. I also noticed better oil pressure. Those are two observables other than tearing an engine apart to look I guess
The weight of the oil can only determine so much, it doesn't tell the entire story. It sounds like the Liqui-Moly you're using has better film strength which is resulting in reduced blowby.

Absolutely no valve train noise on start ups. I live in a cold climate and the 20-50 was terrible. It use to take sometimes 20 seconds for the lifters to stop making noise below 40 deg. The oil also has seal conditioner and I have seen small seepage disappear. Gas mileage also improved. Last highway run I got over 500 miles on a tank full. I dont think its a placebo affect.
What's most impressive is you actually drive it! Running through an entire tank of gas seems to be a rare occurrence these days.

Sometimes I feel that many of the issues people have are due to the cars sitting. When describing their oil, Porsche suggests that "The special formulation of Porsche Classic Motoroils offers your classic car the ideal level of protection, even when the vehicle is not used for long periods."

When I used to have a classic VW, it sat for long periods, and every time I eventually went to drive it, something was wrong.. and that's a lawn mower never mind a 1980s car. I'm not sure what's worse for the car: driving it or parking it? One of them, however, brings more pleasure than the other
