Default My 951 for sale??

Ok, just to see if anyone is interested. Kind of a feeler
87 951
if it can be done it has been or is in the works

This is a "finish it" project car. Somewhere in the 7-9K dollar range in upgrades/repairs/maintenance items, needs very little (install turbo, WBO2, injectors (still needed), gauges, oil cooler, etc). Mostly it needs time I dont have right now. I am really wanting a 993 when we move in a few weeks and this car would have to go first.

A list of goodies (incomplete I am sure)
T04E
MAF
Custom Chips
PLX WBO2
Greddy EGT Gauge (plumbed ready to go)
Custom oil cooler
Custom seats
Boxster wheels (front standard rear S wheels)
Custom vented nose panel (just resprayed, looks fantastic)
Pauer Tuning custom fuel hoses with 90 deg for running without damper
Modified fuel rail
TiAl 38mm WG
SFR Cat-Back
Custom head from Under Pressure Performance
SFR intercooler ducting
Al catch can
Stratmosphere DV
Bilstein AK110/111 inverted race struts (very rare) run with stock springs
Delrin Bushings
new seals, gaskets, ignition parts, coolant res, hoses, vacuum hose setup, too many new bolts to list (in the 500 dollar range of new fasteners), rod bearing, oil pan gasket, Cometic HG, etc,

I think you get the idea, it is done right, just needs finishing. Body is clean, one easily removed dent with PDR, paint needs a good washing, stripping, wax. Interior very clean, new stock gauge cluster showing 95K (chassis has 195K). If anyone has interest please PM me with a reasonable offer. I can tell you now that 4-5K is not a reasonable offer but 10-12K would be an unreasonable asking price.

He has a good point there. I bet once you drive it, your opinion will change. Although I can understand your lust for a 993... They are nice cars. I dont think you want to buy out of state, but I know Noel (MetalSolid of the GT-2/GT-3 boards) is selling his black '97 C4S. Its really nice. I can tell you more/give you contact information if you would be interested. But you shouldn't be, cause you want to keep the 951!

Matt - I hope this doesn't mean you will be leaving the 944/951 community. The midwest has plenty of room for another 951!...You can bring a 993 along too if you'd like.

Hey Matt - Although i am sad to see that you are considering selling your car, i believe your asking price to be very appropriate...i just wish i had some spare cash right now!

I wish you luck with whatever decision you make...

Later!

We will see how it goes. I am not that far from finishing it but with moving I dont see a way to finish it in the next 90 days. By the time I am done it will be close to winter and this car will probably be undrivable in the winter.

Matt,

i feel you on this one, my car has been on the jackstands for 6 months for varrious issues and I have thought of parting it all out, or sell it as a project as well.

But I went for a ride in my friends car that he just got back after 9 months and talking with him the wait was worth the reward. I hope that holds true for us as well....

I hope you decide to keep it. Hell, if I had the extra cash, I'd throw it at you to keep the car down here. Damn.

There's some truth in the above. Everytime I drive mine, which is not often, I remember why I love this car so much.
