I'm taking my car out to a track day for the first time on sunday.
I was wondering if I need to run higher than normal pressures in my tyres. I currently have 215/60 X 15" Pirelli Drago tyres fitted. Any tips or recommendations?

i suggest you start with stock pressures. for your car its 29 front 36 rear. some run 32 all around. when i did a DE with my car i ended up doing something like 30 all around cold. they would heat up to about 34 or 35, and it was pretty neutral. i had removed a bunch of weight from the back of my car though, so thats why it was better to run even pressures. if you have the spare in the rear and the seat back in, i'd probably run a bit higher in the back than in the front.

also, it depends on what you're doing. what track are you going to?

Another common thing to do with a stock 944 is to run 2 lbs more air pressure in the front tires than in the rear. Usually this means cold air pressure of 34psi in the front and 32psi in the rear. This will help with the understeer.

If your tires feel greasy after a couple of runs then drop the front and rear down by 2lbs.
