Question heater adjustment motor problem?

Well, i took a look under my dash because i had ordered a heater clip from paragon with the last set of things i bought. well, little did i know, i needed two i guess. i fixed one (seems to work) but the one that is closer to the front of the dash (closer to the knees than teh feet of the driver) idoesnt seem to do anything when i hit the lever. i believe the top lever on the climate controls controls this one. i hear a hum when i move the lever, but i dont see any linkage move.. do i have a dead motor? anyone have any experience? anyone have a parts car they could give me that out of?
