Time to rant about Barnes and Noble.

So, I ordered the book in this thread, and since I ordered another book with it that took my total to over $25, I got free shipping. Cool!

Well, my package arrived yesterday. I opened it, and here is what I got:

1 book, "The life and times of Sir Edmund Hillary" or something like that. Not what I ordered at all.

I look at the receipt, and it shows that the book I ordered in addition to the Porsche book was out of stock, so they dropped it from my order. Since my order then was less than $25, they charged me for shipping. No big deal, I guess. EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG BOOK INSTEAD OF THE PORSCHE BOOK.

So I called them, because it clearly shows on my receipt that I did not order the Hillary book. They tell me that they are out of stock on the Porsche book as well, and that book was sent in it's place. (?). Fine. I tell them that I want to return it, and they tell me that they will send a calltag, and that I will not get my shipping back (even though it is their mistake), and that I must pay the shipping to get it back to them.

What a load of crap. I am NEVER ordering anything online from them again.

Let this be a lesson to all fellow Rennlisters. I hope no one else ordered this from them and went thru the same crap I did.

Holy crap Tifo that blows...you should still try to get your money and your book back....call them and ask to speak to management, and give him/her a piece of your mind...
Not meaning one of your random stories...that may confuse them slightly.

yeah tifo that's BS. You should talk to your credit card people or something. I hate when businesses push their customers around like that.
