"Chuffing" Noise from Front of Motor
I had my belts, rollers, and waterpump replaced about 150 miles ago. I now have belt noise coming from the front of the motor that sounds like a "chuffing" (i.e., shuff, shuff, shuff). I've heard that there should be belt noise as these things wear in. Is this anything to worry about?
The car is currently at the paint shop being touched up, but when it comes back, what should I look for if I take the upper cover off to inspect the belts?

Check that the dust cover behind your timing rotor isn't loose.
The only belt noise I'm aware of would come later as it loosens, and that's more of a slap.
Take it back to the shop that did the work and ask them to listen to it.

Likely not the belt loosening with only 150 miles on it.
Could be the waterpump going bad. Mine made a similar noise after a belt (but not waterpump) change.
Apparently the new belt (and probably additional tension) can stress the waterpump bearings. Mine was a factory new pump w/ 15k miles on it. I had it replaced before any damage was done.

Sounds like a bad waterpump bearing. Did you use a rebuilt waterpump? The quality of rebuilt pumps varies a lot. It's a few bucks more to buy a brand new pump, but when you have to rip the front of the engine apart AGAIN to replace the bum rebuilt unit, the few extra bucks suddenly seems like it would have been worth spending.
Did a waterpump and t-belt on a Maser 228 with a friend of mine. Ton of work, car goes back together and the waterpump bearing is bad. Sure, the vendor sent him a new pump for free, but we had to do all the work again.

I'll bring it back by the shop. The waterpump was a brand new one from Lindsey. It looked/felt great before it went in. I thought that the failing waterpump noise was more of a whine then a rhythmic "chuff"
