Perry, Your car is stunning. Kudos again. I was here the whole time you were posting about the rebuild and I remain very impressed with your dedication. A couple of minor questions I hope you don't mind answering. You've been a real help on a numbero f my own projects.

Your engine compartment is beautifully detailed. Obviously the intake manifold and several smaller items - the distributor housing and (looks like) the power steering reservoir have been painted in a medium gray. Was this done with heat resistant spray cans or done with a spray gun? If done with cans, what color was used? Did you shoot them with clear coat? Surprised the power steering fluid hasn't lunched the paint on the reservoir. How are you managing that? Also, the Guards Red (it appears) on the lettering and items around the hose clamps...how did you do those? Again, spray can? and if so, what color? cleared?

Love your car Perry, never sell it but if you do...PM me!

Man..... awesome shots Perry. I just got into high speed sports photo myself, being a photo major in school and all. What camera/lense/film/shutter speed are you using? I haven't gotten the chance to go to many races yet, but Texas World Speedway isn't far from Houston. I need to get out there more often. Thanx for the inspiration.

There was a twin turbo 928 at the show and you only have one picture of it? I took that photo and started a thread on the 928 list to find out what the extra intake tubes were for. Looks like the mystery owner showed up and is saying its a twin turbo.

On the F1 pics, not to hijack your thread, but if your interested there are two excellent places to shoot at Indy with no fence in the way. I have some examples on my site listed below in my sig. The best spot is outside turns 7,8 and 9 (I think, could not find a track map with numbered corners)

Sorry for the late post. I had one hell of a long, but good weekend.

Here's some high res links to my favorites.

Most of the pics on the page were taken by my friend Eric, "Big E" if you have seen my site. He took them with a Fugi 8000 digicam and a good eye for photography.

Thanks for all the comments on the 951... as always.... they mean a lot. Chris is correct, everything in the engine bay, down to the bolts, is powedercoated. I did it all myself. Do a search.. I have many write ups on it.

As far as the 928 at the show... it was hard to get any really nice shots of the setup. The light was bad. Trust me.. it's slick. Let me know on the Indy shots.. we'll be there again.
