Default 225/45/17 on 7.0J ?

Is anyone running 225/45/17 kumho 712 tires on 7.0J rims?

It says that the standard rim size should be 7.5J for 225/45/17.

Will they fit on my 7.0J? I'm currently running 205/50/17.

Thanks!

I know that a 225/50/16 will fit on a 7Jx16 wheel, so most likely, you can fit the 225/45/17 on your 7Jx17's.

However, I'm sure if you'll have any rubbing issues.

Yes they will fit, I ran that same tire combo in my 17x7 cup wheels I had not to long ago....

I wouldn't go any wider on a 7 inch wheel though.

Ian,

Did you have any rubbing issue? That's my main concern.

Thanks

Your wheels have an ET of 55 right?

If so thats what I was running and it worked out with out any rubbing, I ran that set up with stock struts and weltmeister springs, and also with a set of leda coil-overs, I didn't rub with either set up. (the fenders were not rolled).

here is the excessive body roll I had before the leda's

I use that size as well. As to going wider, they would be nearly impossible to mount even with a run flat mounter. They work well with a 255 on the rear.
