Default 924 to 944 fuel rail....please help!

ok i needed some quick answers....will the fuel rail from a 1988 924 fit a 1989 944?

I think perhaps not. Isn't one an 8-valve and the other a 16-valve?

I've been away for a while, so this is just a guess. Call Zim's or a dealer and maybe they will offer an opinion.

NOPE.
You need and EARLY fuel rail. I have one available if you want one. Make sure the damper and the FPR are good on yours and swap them. It may be a good time for injector seals and o-rings. (at least a thorough inspection)

I have leftover parts from mine.

Actually the fuel rail on my '87 924S is different than my early 944. I'm sure the injector mounting points are the same , but the damper and FPR locations and mounting is different. If you're looking to replace your '88 924S rail I would look at a late 944 8 valve, especially since the '88 924S and the '88 944 NA had the exact same motor.

I thought the 89 all had 2.7 motors and its the only year it had it...

haha i think some of you may have misunderstood me....i HAVE an 89 944 n/a but im trying to see if an 88 924s fuel rail will fit it....

ok i called the dealer about it and they said that it'll definitely fit...so if anyone has a 924s fuel rail to give for my 944...haha im up for it...also anyone with an 87-89 944 fuel rail too...thanks
