Default [937] To those lucky 924 Carrera GT owners (if any here..)

I don't actually know of anyone personally owning one, but hey, this is The List, there must be a few out here, right?

Ok, here's the story...I'm working on a "Carrera" decal as found on (some of the) 937's right fender. What I need to know now, are as accurate as possible the following Dimensions..

- The lenght from the middle (vertical) of the C to the middle of the last a.
- The height of the C
- The height of "the rest"
- The width and height of the last a, because it seems different than the first a.
- Is the script curved or straight? Hard to tell from the pictures.

ANY info would be greatly appreciated...

Oh, the thickness of the lines would also be very neat to know

I'vs got a GT conversion built by Stratton Motorsports in Winter Park, Florida. They've built a dozen and have purchased all the body part and graphis from "gt-racing.com". My car has the turbo S MO30 bars, ront and rear adj. yellow Konis, front fenders and the rear hatch from a 944 and also the hood scoop! I run 7.5 & 9.0x17's with 225 50's up front and 255 45's out back. This Friday I'll be replacing the tie rods with turbo tie rods, new ball joints and in addition the totaly rebuilt tranny with the Quaife torque-bias chunk will also be installed. The folks at GT-Racing have always been quick to turnaround the orders and their graphics are top drawer.
Good Luck,
Steve

Porsche publications will usually have the same graphics on them. I have the turbo sections for the 924's and found that the graphic "turbo" was the same as the plack on the turbo intake. I'll look further and see if the Carrera graphic is in them.

I scanned the "turbo" and put it into Acad then polylined over it.

I know this sounds crazy, but I'm pretty sure you can find that decal in the PET, grab the part number, then ask a parts place or dealership for the price and availability. You might be able to get the real deal, which would make it pretty easy to make copies.

Good idea

937 559 212 01 is the red one,
937 559 212 00 is the black one

Hmm...do you have a suggestion as to WHERE I should ask for those partnumbers?

TIA!

If nothing else, the dealer will tell you if the decal is available, and how much they want for it. Post the results - probably good for a laugh.
