Default Got Koni Sports - bit of oil - okay?

Got my Koni Sports today. The inserts version for the front of the S2.

One of them has the tiniest bit of oil seepage on the piston. The box has a very slight amount of oil on it (discolured - not damp.)

Does this mean that strut is busted?

Or is this "normal" for struts that have been stored on their sides?

Any time I've seen leakage on a strut is had or was about to fail.

There is supposed to be some sort of lubricant at the seals so the piston shafts don't pull them apart. Bilsteins for example have a red grease of some sort smeared around the seal. I seem to recall Konis having some sort of dry film lubricant though. Anybody?

Yup - supplier confirmed that a bit of oil is totally normal. Just like Manning said.

Now I'm totally stoked! This car might just handle properly!

Thanks for that awesome Koni PDF!
