I'm not too sure where mine is from (it was given to me). It is a carpet-type. Check out the sponsors list on the main rennlist page, one of those sponsors will probably sell them.

I just want one of those throw-in deflectors when the car is parked in the sun, but I want one that will kinda fit in my car. Most of the ones I have seen are too big. Thanks

When I was shopping for window shades for my brother, I found that there was a fitment guide. I dont remember if it was in a book next to the shades, or on the back of the packages, but it told what size for what model range of car. This was in the auto parts store, Checker IIRC.

I have a really good, perfect-fitting shade that I got recently. It folds flat, which is much better than the roll-up kind, and easier to deploy. I'll have to check the brand when I get home...forgot where I got it, but I did a web search under the name. it's silver, with a suede-like inside surface.

I bought a custom one for my early 944 through the Pelican Parts website. It rolls up and cost $29.95. A must have in the Arizona summer.

Jim: I can't find the product on Pelican. How did you find it?

I recommend a dashmat but for years when I parked in the sun I used a special cover that quickly fits over the dash and steering wheel (complete with Porsche crest on the steering wheel cover). It worked well in the Texas heat to protect the dash and steering wheel. My 20 year old dash is pristine. I still have one that is perfect so if you don't find what you want, drop me an email and I'll provide add'l info.

Paragon sells them! I have one for my car! Very nice fit.

Kinda pricey compared to the generic ones, but it made to fit on our cars compared to others.

Carl Nall,
Do you have any pictures, I'm very interested if bigbass is not, I'm down here in Houston too and starting to get summer weather. What a drag, can't wait for those 99-100 degree days.
