Are the tires on the current wheels the same size? have them removed and mounted on the CCs for a low $ solution, or just get new tires for the CCs. A set of respectable tire that fit the CCs can be found for ~$300, thats not bad for the number of miles you'll get out of them.

I have these for sale. $200 if your interested.

Another option is go around to or call your local tire shops and salvage yards and ask them if they have any take-off's or used tires they are selling. You can pick up 951 sizes all day long for $100 a set.

(4) "respectable" tires for (15 inch?) cookie cutters...where? (4) 225/50/15 tires for under 500 is unheard of around here....and then, they still aren't respectable tires. you need around $800 for (4) respectable tires

more specific please

225/50/15 is not the right size for the car anyhow. You can easily get four pretty good tires in a 215/60/15 for 300 bucks.

Come on guys..

Tires are the last link connecting your car to the road. Get good tires that you can trust not something that are cheap - it could cost the life of you or your car!

I agree Anders, but in this case were not talking about bad tires. The Bridgestone, Dunlop and Yoko tires at this level are nothing to scoff at and considering the limited number of options in this size they are good choices. They aren't SO-3s, but SO-3s aren't made in this size.

Hey Jeremy, how come it looks like those wheels only have 4 bolt holes?

Not the stock size but there's people that run them.

They're the slicks off of my mustang. You know, Ford's phone dial.

Brandon, I realize that is what people are doing. The tire is far too short, the speedo will be off the odo will not register correctly and unless you are racing they offer no real advantage (except maybe look a bit cooler?) to the correct stock size.

Dave is right, there are plenty of darn good tires in the 2-4 hundred dollar range in a 215-60-15 out there.

Anders - I work for a tire company, I always suggest they get the most tire they can afford but you have to be realistic. In a 150HP car with a 215-60-15 and decent tire is going to be pretty much acceptable. I would probably stay away from s/t rated or M&S tires but anything above a n H speed rating on an NA is really just fine. I belive the factory originally had V-rated tires on them, however.
