Default Parts Geek "Service Contract"

Anyone ever buy something from Parts Geek with a service contract, and then had to try to get them to honor it? If so, were you successful? My remanufactured 924 Turbo starter has failed after about 9 months. They were pretty quick to respond and ask for details, but since then, nada. Now, this was right before a long weekend, there's the whole pandemic thing, and for all I know it's a pretty small operation, so I don't want to be too critical too quickly, but it would be nice to at least know what they're going to do so I can order a replacement elsewhere if I have to.

I would give it a few more days, then if they don't stand up contact your credit card and dispute it.

My 85 GSL was stolen in 90.

Happy to report they sent me an RMA number last night, so I guess a bit more patience was in order :-)

I have reconditioned at least 6 944 based cars in the last 10 years with Parts Geek being my go to source for parts. Very little communication allowed. Make sure you have the right parts ordered.
I have noticed that the shipping prices for orders with small parts are more expensive and since they are shipped from different warehouses that shipping can add on they do have free shipping on the more expensive parts

FCP Euro has lifetime warranty on their parts, and have very good communication.

Copy that. I love FCP for that. The only downside with them is they only sell high-volume stuff, whereas Pelican and ECS can get just about anything still available.

UPDATE: I was just received my new reman starter from Partsgeek, to replace the warranty failure. It's badly damaged. Not blaming FedEx for this, since the inside box is also damaged, while the shipping box is fine. I'm sensing a "don't give a ****" attitude here and I'm about done with them. Cheap is one thing, but seriously WTF.
