Default OT: (Part 2) To all the Vancouver/BC Rennlisters...

Well I'm back in Montreal. We all loved Vancouver and Whistler. You guys are very lucky.

I saw a ton of P-Cars. There was even a Ferrari at our hotel (Grandville Island) in Vancouver.

Another oddity:

Why are bicycle riders allowed on the left-hand shoulder of highways? It seems to me that would be extremely dangerous.

I'm not talking about a simple two-lane highway. I'm talking about bikes riding on the shoulder of a divided, multi-lane highway with cars running at 90 kmh to 100 kmh. Plus, they have to cross traffic when they come to an on-ramp. That is very dangerous. Doesn't anyone see the danger here. We may be crazy drivers in Quebec but at least we don't allow bikes on high-speed roads.

Yup, that's allowed...I dunno, I've just never thought much of it...I haven't heard of many incidents of cars hitting them, so it seems to work fine...also, the max speeds and number of lanes on our highways are less than in the east.
Glad you enjoyed it, Whistler is beautiful...and there are plenty of P-Cars to be seen, I drive through town everyday to school and see at least half a dozen, usually more...distracting!!!
