Question Clutch help!

When I was driving the other day I noticed that at the top of my clutch (when releasing all most at the top) that it is NOT smooth when it engages into gear. It happens the worst with 1st gear. It is not getting better and I really need to know if it is the clutch or what because I am having my motor mounts done in a month and want to know before they look at it. If it isn't the clutch, then what else could it be? How could I find out what it is?

I think I might know what it is. My motor mounts are going out and I think that when I get the rpm's that low it sends a bad virbration though the car. I tested it by going in like 4th at a lower speed and it does it there after the car is in gear and moving.
