Question on the snub nose mod: How difficult is it to access the bumper mounting bolts once the shocks are compressed. Can they be accessed with a wobble extension, or is it impossible?

I haven't had to take mine off yet (knock on wood), but I think it would be a major pain in the *** to get to those bolts. Although, with a swivel it might not be bad.

Hmm, I guess I will find out soon enough, since I will be installing the A/C Elimination kit, and removing the condenser etc... I think i will be able to get at it with a swivel...maybe..

Friendan,
After you remove the pads and dremel off the little nubs underneath, I think you have a total of ten holes in the bumper. I toyed with the thought of having them filled and then repainting, but I didn't really want to go that perminent, just in case later I want to get new bumper shocks and put the pads on. So I went to home depot and got some rubber molding, cut it to size, painted it, and then screwed it on using some of the existing holes in the bumper. It looks much better, IMO, than the ten holes just being open. Not perfect, but better than nuthin, and it cost like 5 bucks. So it will do for now.

Ah, that's what I figured...good solution. I think when i do it I'm going to have the holes properly filled, and the bumper painted...I'm not looking to switch back soon after or anything, and if I have to I'll just drill out the holes again...PITA but it can be done, plus get new bumper shocks for like $20 on ebay
Yours still looks good though

I'll be doing the "snub nose" look on my 924. Also on the rear, it looks like the rear bumper can have the same effect done to it? How do i get the bumper shocks off of the body in the rear? are they welded on?
