Yes, the rear euro bumper is a striaght bolt on (provided that you can source one, they are hard to find here on this side of the pond). My euro bumper was somewhat "whacked" in an accident before I bought it, hence the 12 hours or so I have in it (that includes stripping the 6 layers of paint off it that has occured over the last 20 years).

Here is what you you need:

1. euro rear bumper
2. euro rear bumper shocks
3. euro rear bumper trim piece

The bumper for the s2/turbo cars is different, it has a little cut-out and a mount for the rear tow eye (same as the front tow eye). This may or may not make a difference for you. (mine is from 1982 with a 931 part#, so I need to make a custom tow point)

Hope that helps!

It's a reproduction 968 spoiler designed to fit the 944 hatch, that I bought early last year from KLA industries. They aren't selling them anymore, 944racing used to sell them as well but no longer.

LOL! Yeah, I should just put a "WORK IN PROGRESS" sign in each photo, since they become outdated so fast..................

Wow, good to see my old car is getting some publicity in here. I recommend the pushed in bumper look to anybody. It really updates and modernizes the front of a car. To me the pointy nose piece always made the car look very "1980s." It is a half an hour job that can be performed with some very common tools.

what if I KEPT the regular bumper & removed the shocks? I assume the real bumper would be a LITTLE sturdier than the fiberglass ones, but, w/out the shocks- not even sure it would work- ? How much do the shokcs weigh? It sounds like they're pretty heavy for what they are....?

Thanks...
replace it witha turbo bumper, save weight

944CS, go back and read the whole thread...if you don't understand what it is then I'll explain it to you.

Curious to know if you have to remove the pads to do the NA "snub nose conversion" as 944CS put it.

star944,

No, you don't have to remove the pads. But I think it looks funny with the pads and the snubbed nose.

Yeah - I can see how that would be an issue.
