It looks like I'll be heading out to meet you guys after all. I was planning on changing my oil pan gasket, but I'm kinda sorta missing important parts to do that and don't want my car up on blocks longer then I need to.
Someone mentioned VA people meeting up somewhere and heading out in a group? Is that still going on?
I'm still a new to this whole owning a car bit (been strictly two wheels since 17...) so it should be good to meet a bunch of other pcar drivers.

Hey, actually some people were going to roll down through silver spring were I am, and then all roll up to the meet from here since its on the way pretty much. (sorry to the people ive been in contact with for the delays!) I found out today the place i had in mind is closed for interior renovation. Any silver spring people have any good ideas for a meet? Im still thinking of a new one. The actual meet is about 30 minutes from here.

WEATHER UPDATE:
In case anyone doesn't have access to a phone, computer or a television, despite today's sogginess, it looks like tomorrow should be perfect for the meet and drive! Weatherunderground.com had the following forecast as of 9:00AM today:
Partly cloudy. Highs in the lower 60s. Northeast winds around 10 mph.
See you tomorrow!

Ok Silver Spring / WASH.DC / No.VA people - - - We are going to have a meet at 9am at the starbucks at the corner of University Blvd and Rt.29 Colesville rd. (4-corners across from Blair HS) We will caravan to the actual meet from there! Any questions, toss a PM or ask here!
It takes 25 minutes or so to get to the actual meeting place, so dont show up at 9:50am hoping to catch us! Weather looks to be awesome! Can't wait! See everyone tomorrow!

Drive Update!
In case anyone wants to do some more back road driving than the pre-lunch driving I had originally planned, during lunch I will see how many people would be interested or have the time to hit some pretty roads for a an hour or so drive. It will put us in north Baltimore and make it very easy for people to hop onto I-83 and jet home.
If only three or four people are interested, I'll bag the drive but if I get a good number of responses, we'll go ahead and do it.
Either way, I can't wait for tomorrow!

I'm still jealous! I'm back in VA visiting, but don't have Lorelei and/or the time to come and see anyone. We will be repeating this whole process, though slightly modified, in about a month
I'll be posting about a VA/MD/DC gathering soon enough all over the boards.

Mark, thanks for organizing a fantastic event. This was my first time meeting so many Rennlisters outside the Hershey Swap Meet. The before lunch "back road" drive was a good way to get pumped up before getting a full stomach:<)
