Another what's my car worth post
I'll be getting rid of my '91 944S2 soon to make way for a 993. ...yes the dark side! But I'm having some trouble gauging what I should ask for it.
The big downside is it will have right around 200K on the clock and the A/C doesn't work. Never got around to addressing that. But it's a 91 coupe with Zyclam Red paint. All black interior. It didn't have any records when I bought it, but since I've had it I've kept everything including belts and the such. There are some small spots on the nose where the clear coat has chipped away. It has an all new torque tube and CV joints as well. That's about it in a nut shell. It really does run like a champ and it surprises everyone that sees that when they find out how many miles it has on it. It's been my daily driver for two years.
Here's some pics of it if that helps...

How is this for a start.
Start with $14000 for an 89 with74k miles, no paintwork, 17" take offs with 3k on the rubber & new konis, just rebuilt motor, 12 way seats, no dash cracks, new alternator & ball joints.
work up/down from there, or take what Pete paid for his with roughly the same mileage as yours and work from there.
The courts say fair market value is "the price at which the property would change hands between a willing buyer and a willing seller, neither being under any compulsion to buy or sell and both having reasonable knowledge of relevant facts." The insurance co's say otherwise.

Its a very nice car, I will vouch for Steve. In fact, I'd be tempted to buy it myself if I didn't already owe my wife a silver 928 for "her" porsche. lol
Hate to see you sell it, Steve, even tho I agree that 993's are very nice as well.
Regards,

It worth what someone will pay,
Matt ducks as objects are thrown!
I would think somewhere in the 7500-9000 range here. Since the mileage is high it would really depend.

How much would an 89 turbo with new paint, 104k, SALVAGE title (replaced passenger side fender), has about 15% of clutch, could use new belts in about 10k miles, and NO service records go for on the market today?

I wouldnt give more than 5K for it but I am cheap. You are in Cali. which hurts the resale a bunch.
