Default 968 M030 or 944 S2 M474 ?

Hi guys,

I may have the opportunity to make a killer deal on a set of four new 968 Konis M030 shock absorbers (the ones which the rear units are coil overs).

I currently have on my S2 four M474 Konis with non M030 968 CS springs (same stiffness as M030, but in the smaller S2/968 diameter so they fit the specific M474 S2 Koni struts).
My S2 handles great as it is now.

My question is : would you "upgrade" to the M030 units, just for the sake of making a great deal and risk losing the homogeneity of the current suspension set up or leave the car as it is now ?

I find my suspension to be stiff enough for the quality of roads I drive it on ... but I can't help thinking I will certainly be kicking myself in the future if I let this deal pass.

Thanks in advance for any opinion.

Thom-

I think it depends. Do you miss haveing external adjustability on the fronts? I have the same M474 set up pn my S2 and would like to have the adjustablilty up front for the days I am autocrossing. I would also like a bit more spring rate in the rear, but that is just me. BTW if you pass on these, how about passing the info along to someone over the pond....

Best,
