I'm installing Vems on my '86 944 n/a, but I cant see what's the best place to connect the MAP tubing.
How did You guys hook it up on Your cars?

In case you want to get your "economy control display"/"economy gauge" working.
Connect PIN 11 with PIN 20 (EC36) and enable PIN 20 in the VEMS tune injector table.

Wiring VEMS --> Porsche 944 Eco Gauge

Enable Injector 3, PIN 20 as a spare injector.

Mine is wired in parralel with one pair of injectors:

I don't get how injectors are firing. I assume(I hope lol) that PNP kit is configured to run semi-sequential. Factory motronic is batch fire. Question is - now economy control gets signal from pair of injectors. Will it show accurate fuel consumption?
Another point - I have wasted spark coil. Early 944 tacho is wired in parralel with stock coil to pin 1. Now it's not connected anywhere. I assume I should wire tacho wire to pin 21 motronic connector(as in late cars) without changing anything in VEMS config

- VEMS does also batch fire
- route the wire from pin 21 to tach (do not connect to coil green wire, it will fry the output of VEMS !)
- of course you have to configure VEMS for WS output
- when you take the eco gauge signal parallel from a pair of injectors, you won't get a clean signal without noise to the tach input. When you take the signal from a virtual (software enabled) injector, you get a clean signal.

Coil is out, stock ingition wires are "hanging in air", but I planned to connect tach seperatly anyway.

Yep, I already did it. Coil wire is out, WS harness plugged into EC36. Ignition outputs configured accordingly. Still preparing car for start, few things left.

Thats how I received it from Peep. Will see if there any noticeable difference. Will add wire and change config if needed.

Are there any reasons why it's not configured as semi-sequential? As I understand no additional wiring and/or sensors needed. And it should be huge benefit over batch fire...

BTW, my kit also configured for two pin ICV, however as I see in catalog only S2 had them, even 968 uses 3 pin ICV

I've got my vems installed and the car is running, can't drive it yet because of some weird/stupid rules we got here in Denmark.

But I can't get my tacho and economy control display to work. The tacho jumps to 500 rpm and stays there, nothing happens with my economy control display.
Everything seems to be wired in the right way and vems set up should also be right.

Any suggestions?

Which engine/ DME do you have?
For 924S / 944 II Tach settings should be:

Under Outputs -> Tach
Tachometer Channel: P259
Tachometer Channel: 0
Tachometer Divider: Custom
Tachometer Divider: 17

It's an '86 2.5 na and that is exactly the settings I'm using.
Tacho is hooked up to EC36 pin 4 and going to pin 21 on DME connector.

have you tried another setting (e.g. one for earlier cars)? Maybe somebody fiddled with the cables in the past?

Cables look original, I've tried other channels with no luck.
It either stays at 500 rpms or doesn't move at all.

With the 4 hole injectors I could reduce VEMS start, afterstart and warmup enrichment significantly.
Apart from that, a modern engine management system and modern injectors are a nice package IMHO.

Edit: Found this pic.

Could you please share your current config with Volvo injectors and working economy gauge?
I've ordered same, they will arrive soon.

Already done 700 km (~400 miles) with VEMS, still struggling with some random issues, but overall everything is great
