Any issues putting late 944 seats into an '83 931? Are they straight bolt-on replacements?

The driver's seat is powered in this case...If I don't figure out a way to hook up the power, I guess the seat becomes not (easily) adjustable, which might be fine since no one but me drives my car...

Only issue you may come across is that the seat belts mount differently early vs late cars.

I did it a number of years ago so my memory is a little rusty. Seems they bolted in but the tracks were a little longer and intruded into the rear passenger foot well a bit.

Thanks for the info, guys. Nobody usually sits back there anyway...these sound like fairly minor issues...

Default 944 seats

I have had to jump through several hoops to get my 85.5+ seats to mount in my 83 944. Presume the same would be with your 924. The early seat rails were secured to the floor with 4 6mm bolts. These started coming loose in crashes, so Porsche had the dealers remount the seats with long 8mm bolts through the floor pan. The later model seats used 3 8mm bolts per rail. I have made additional mounts for mine, played hell with the existing captive bolts under the original mounts, and welded them into the floor. The wiring was done by placing a VW (Jbugs) fuse block up under the dash and getting the hot power from the large red wires under the dash. There is a Porsche electrical cable that plugs into the bottom of the driver's seat. Hope this helps some.

Hmmm...I don't weld. These seats seem to be good condition for very good price, but...still not a good deal if they sit in my garage for a year. Gotta think about this...
