Default Speedometer Signal

I am fitting an old stereo in my 944 1989 2.7.
The unit needs a Speedometer signal (for its old navigation). Is there a good place behind the dash to take that signal without causing damage. Thank you

On the 951, the speedo sensor wire is the blue wire with red stripe in the middle edge connector on the back of the gauge cluster. I can look it up if helpful, but would guess yours is the same...
