Default scrutinizing eyes needed in Houston, TX, PPI?

Hi all -

Is there anyone willing to shoot some digital photos of a 968 tip coupe at Advantage Porsche in Houston, TX?

Also, can anyone recommend a PCA/rennlist-friendly place for a pre-purchase inspection? I've contacted both Viking and Eurocar-werk. Is the general concensus that either will do a thorough job at a fair price? Or should I keep looking?

TIA,

Buzz

I may be able to find some time.

I'm not familiar with the shops you've listed. I know there are some good PPI places in town, but I can't remember them off-hand. Perhaps some of the other local guys can help.

Either will do a fine job. Depends on where you want to go as they are WAY away from each other.

While they are not open on Sunday, and I do not have access to a digital camera, I'd be happy to take a look for you.

For what it's worth, if you do decide to have it taken to one of those shops, I'm available on Wednesday. PM me.

I'm going to Advantage in the morning anyway. I have to go pick up some parts. I'll take a look at the car while I'm there.

FWIW, Advantage is the only dealer in this town I'd buy a car from.

I know Eurocar-werk very well. I think both would be fine for a PPI. They're both inspection shops for people going to PCA DE's, so you would probably be ok with either one.

Hey Buzz,

Sorry I couldn't get a good look at the car. It's in the service bay. My friend in the parts dept said some parts were on order for it, but he couldn't elaborate. He wasn't sure what exactly was going on with the car. I went around back to see if I could get a better look, but it was in a bay, and they don't allow non-employees in there.

I called Eric at Eurocar, and he remembered talking to you. He said he's willing to do the PPI for you anytime. I know he's pretty familiar with the 944/968 platform, so I wouldn't have a problem trusting his judgement on a PPI.

Good luck.
