Default Inner tie rod questin

In the process of replacing steering rack on my 968, inner tie rods seem floppy. Outers are fine, wanted confirmation that inners should be replaced, or if there is another answer, willing to listen. What brand do people use?

They shouldn't flop around loosely so my guess is they should be replaced. Honestly, even if they weren't all that bad, I'd replace them anyway since you already have everything apart (unless they are fairly new).

New inner tie rods are stiff. As in you can move them into any position and they stay there. If your hold yours up and let it go and it drops and bounces, it's time to replace them.

That's what I remembered, so more parts to order today! Any thoughts on makers? Lemforder makes outers, but can't find inners from them.

Just chiming in here to let anyone know that Lemforder indeed makes the inner and outer rods and they sell for around $55 for both (inner and outer) as a kit. I got mine from FCPeuro arrived today, my car is a 86NA.

Now just working out how to remove old and install new ones.
