Default engine build question

Was wondering how what would the total cost be to rebuild a 944 engine to 2.8L specs. Is the N/A block same as the turbo block i'm talkin about just a bare block? could you use a n/a block to build a 2.8L turbo?

Well... aside from carrying different part numbers, they are all but the same block. You can use the N/A block to build up a turbo motor, and also to increase to a 2.8 motor.

There are a few ways to do it. You can have the block honed and install larger pistons, or you can change the stroke by using a 968 crank and rods. Depending on shop costs, but both should fall between $2500 and $4000.

do you really see that much of a dramatic hp/tq difference?
