not being a huge fans of things changed from how they are .. they just never really look right to me .. Luis yet again has to taunt me with his beautiful car. Damn you Luis Looks great man

My shifter does not look like any of yours - leather is stiffer, **** is a separate piece - and I am nearly 100% sure it is stock.

Will post a picture soon.

It sounds like you have a standard Euro, or maybe just the 82/83 series (pre-US import) type shift boot - I know this sounds stupid, but my understanding is that our shift boots were a different grade leather; availability was the main issue...
Someone else will say I'm crazy (and be right) but I believe this is true...

My boot has always been thinker leather with a detachable **** (threaded) that is very different from the others posted here both in this thread and previous threads. UNTIL I saw Micheals in Germany - which I promptly purchased from him; it was the same grade leather and same rubber shifter on top.

my center console isnt carpeted and the shift boot doesnt go all the way up the shifter...the plastic shifter shows

bone stock except for the upgraded blaupunkt, VDO boost gauge in LR's panel, BK extinguisher mount, amerex extinguisher and the lloyd's mats.

97xray: my shifter sticks outta the shift boot like that cept it looks 200% worse
it was made in june 82' i believe and was originally sent to hawaii
