Default Power steering pump question

When I bought this car the power steering pump had already been removed. I went to put the pump on but may be missing a part. The top front has a big opening, I would guess 14 to 15 mm wide. The pump has a small stud that goes into this opening. Am I missing a sleeve or what??? The back side has a sleeve. I did a search and did not see a definitive answer.

It would be nice if someone had a good clear picture they could post, although it would be a difficult place to take a good clear picture.

if your pump just dangles there, are you by chance missing the long bolt that goes from the front of the pump to the back?

If you could just get the top bolt. It may be impossible to get a picture with the engine in the car. I'm guessing there is a spacer that goes on the front side.

The top mount of the pump has a stud on the front side and a threaded hole in the back. The stud needs to have a flat washer installed on it before it goes into the bracket. Then there is a large spacer that fits into the hole in the rear of the bracket and an 8mm bolt goes through the bracket and spacer and screws into the pump body. There is a small spacer that fits into the bracket in the front and then an 8mm nut goes over that on the stud of the pump. Porsche did not use a washer behind the nut. I usually use a lock nut in this location.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Chris, a very good description. From your description I am missing the small spacer that goes in the front.
