Default C4S wheels test fitment (pics)

Well although these wheels are sold to another rennlist I did some test fitting on keiths car today (thats my old black car for those keeping track)....

But many thanks to keith for this one, and we think we figured out what sort of spacers you are going to need when you get these paul, 1/4 of an inch out back is just about all you'll need, then the normal 21mm in front.....

Also you might need to grind down a bolt in the fenderwell, but they will fit with those massive tires...

And on to the pics...

Without the spacer (early offset)

With the Spacer (20 mm, its too much)

Those look great. Not a fan of the 993 twists on 944's, but those work well.

How did the car drive with those on? Turning and/or full throttle acceleration ok too? Did you have to tie back the parking brake cables?

Is that a 295/30 or 285/30 on the rear?

Specs on the wheels,

18x8 et 50 up front 225/35/18's
18x11 et 45 out back 295/30/18's

We didn't do a test drive because we only had the 21 mm spacers to try them with, and with those they were too far outside the fenders, but with out the spacers they didn't clear the inside of the fender.

Those wheels look great on the 944! I'm impressed. Don't like them on the 911, though.

Thanks for posting the pics.....I always wondered how they'd look

So those won't work on a late model, correct?

When you say they didn't clear the inside of the fender, are you talking about the fronts or the rears?

The fronts clear just fine, they are only 8 inches wide, there is room for another full inch under there with out problems and the right offset.....

Its the rear that has the fitment issues they just need a little bit of spacing, but it shouldn't be a problem at all, perhaps even the factory spacers used on the early 944's?

Wow, those look great!

Would those bolt right up to later style cars without spacers?

Sharp rims man!
