Default some sensor questions and other misc.

alright, today i was trying to find the power steering leek, and i stumbled upon some things. first thing first. what is the point of this sensor? and do i need it?

this is my steering rack. when i lifted the boot fluid poured out. i think i will be needing a new one. where can i find one cheap?

this tube is from the rear of the alternator. whats its purpose? and is there supposed to be a tube from this to the next pic?

and one more problem as of now. i cant find a loose vacuum connection. but i do have this one. where does it go? or is it possable with the different engine it isnt needed?

Van de twee sensoren weet ik weining, deze zijn wel specifiek voor bepaalde types, normale 944's hebben ze niet. Ik heb er weleens een topic over gelezen, met behulp van de search functie op deze site moet je deze wel kunnen vinden.

Tussen de dyname en luchtvanger hoort een flexibele buis te zitten. Deze zijn verkrijgbaar bij de reguliere auto onderdelen verkooppunten.

Als er vloeistof uit de stuurhoezen komt betekend dit dat het stuurhuis lek is. Er zijn reparatiesets verkrijgbaar, maar zelf reviseren is een secuur karwei, er zijn echter goede handleidingen hierover op het net te vinden.

ok, the 4th and 5th pics are the alternator cooling duct. There should be a tube over there, my car doesn't have one either, and it's fine, but if somethings missing, replace it.

the 6th pic is a one way check valve for the brake booster. there should be a line that it plugs into, look around that area, and plug it back in.

Hmm looks like you have a bit of coolant leaking in the first and third pictures.

yeah i do. i was so happy to get my engine started that i didnt realise the coolant line coming out of the reservoir was up against the alternator fan. for temproary use i cut up some extra tubing and secured it with two hose clamps. i will order the hose today.

That's good it's nothing like the water pump because it looks like it would be from that a hose is cheap and so much easier to change
