What's the difference between the Redline MT-90 tranny oil and the Redline 75W90NS tranny oil? Will one be more beneficial to my '84 944 5-speed tranny? Also, is it ok to mix synthetic engine oil with regular engine oil (same weight), this synthetic oil is really expensive.

The MT90 is GL4 spec while the 75W90NS is GL5. There's much ado about nothing on this subject in the archives if you care to read through it - but, the conclusion is that GL4 is the "correct" fluid for your car - though, history of sales and customer feedback indicate that the GL5 75W90 works just great.
You can mix Synthetics with Dino oils, but why? If you are changing the oil, change all of it.
Good Luck!
