Jedi, It doesn't have to be a bad thing, it depends on what your priorities are and what wheels you get. Unsprung and rotating weight are the worst kind of weight to add to a car and it consists of wheels, tires, rotors and hubs. Extra weight here causes loss of handling, braking and acceleration, 4 to 10 times more than extra weight elsewhere in the car. An extra pound per wheel has the same effect on braking as a concrete block in the passenger seat! I've written it up in detail, as have many others here, I'd write it up again for ya, but I'm gonna go spend a little time with the kid before he goes to bed!

Pierceman,
I'll take them if they are still available. Hows $200... assuming they're 15x7 and still available.

That's totally insane. They are available much cheaper.

Why? 7" is the maximum width for all cars in the class. Seems reasonable to me.

George: i thought they were doing that because of stock wheel sizes, something like to within an inch of the stock size. if they put a 7" cap on the wheel size for all cars regardless of what they came with, then thats fine, but if it was limited to stock wheel sizes i'd have to argue for use of the 8's.

Could someone post a picture of Fuchs? I always thought I had Fuchs, but after seeing the picture above, it looks like I have cookie cutters. Not that it matters to me, but I'd like to know. Where is the brand name, etc located, anyways?
Thanks, and sorry I'm slightly off-topic.

Have you given any thought to selling those knightrider wheels you have on your car now and putting the more classy-looking cookie cutters on the car instead? Now that would be cool!

Diameters are limited to stock with rare exception. Widths are regulated by class: ITS & ITA 7", ITA & ITB 6".

Mmmm Cookies.....

I have 3 sets for my race car. I bought two sets used for $200 per set and the third came on my 83 autocross car. Funny the wheels on my 84 chassis were 3-piece gold BBS style. Looking back at old Pano's I think they are Epsilon wheels. They are now on my 83 autocross car with center spray painted black 'cause I did not like the gold.
