That white looks really nice -- what kind of white is that? I'm the process of repainting my wheels white and the first shade of white that I used came out too 'dirty' looking -- so I'm restripping them this week.

We did a poll on wheels colors last week, and only one guy voted for orange. The next set of extra wheels I end up with will certainly be orange.

Thanks for the pics Luke, i am definitely pondering the idea of a white wheel for my car. I currently have two sets of phone dials, the 15'' stock and 951 phone dials, so maybe ill play with some colors and see what i like....Or i could always just ask the photoshop experts

Anyway, thanks for the pics! I love the look of the white on your car!

In case anyone is interested, I have a set of late offset 16" phone dials that are straight but need refinishing. While they would make great track wheels just as they are, I figured this thread was fitting to plug the wheels - So, if you are pondering painting a set of phone dials, this set may be worth looking into. The first $300.00 takes them cash and carry, or I can ship within the US, you pay the actual freight.

Thanks in advance!

Oh, and for what it is worth, a friend of mine once had a set of phone dials he painted white on a red 951 - They looked quite nice!

FWIW, I have a set of 16X7/8 powdercoated white D90s. Look great on dark color cars and even red ones. Good condition somewhere in the 350 range plus shipping (less than 50 bucks) will take them.

I prefer anthacite colored wheels! (ie metallic grey )
On the front:

On the back:

(Note: I haven't had a chance to paint my other track wheels yet! )

Those orange wheels are cool for a track car, although I don't think I'd want to see those driving around on the street.

Actually those magnesium rims are yellow, not orange. It's a matter of lighting and quality of the camera I suppose ...

Well these wheels are lime green. Definitly.

Of course for "track only"

.... but not on my car

You are right Thom, I took this photo and my camera (Nikon Coolpix 885) tends to saturate red tones a lot. Those rims are actually dark yellow.

They're even turning light yellow since they changed hands (sorry, private joke).
