cheap but rough 944 project car for sale in Palo Alto, CA
A friend's coworker thought he'd get his childhood dream car so he bought a cheap, beat up 944. He's in over his head and wants to sell it on, so I thought I'd see if anyone here was interested.
It's got some bondo and dents, the paint is shot, a rear fender arch has been cut off, and a bumper end cap is missing. The interior is in shambles. It has a new battery, alternator, rear brakes, and upper & lower radiator hoses. The engine starts and runs pretty smoothly, which is the main assett of this car. The sunroof works too. It has a bad transaxle (one output flange is hobbling around, partly hanging out). Also the timing belt and water pump are of unknown age/mileage.
The second I saw the car I thought it was extremely rough, but would make a good lemons car. He told me what he's asking but I think it's unrealistic. I know he's motivated so probably the first offer over what he paid for it will be accepted. If interested I can put you in touch with the seller.
