Changed to NGK iridium, Wow!
Just replaced my Bosch Plat. 4 w/ only 5k miles on them w/ iridium ix and boy good I tell a difference. Not only rode smoother but even the sound of engine seem to purr. Took a lot of vibration away from idle also. Just passed inspection last week and had Zim's adjust AFM before changed so car was running properly before I changed last night. Had to pay $30. for them @ O'reilly, but it's worth it to me. Would like to hear if any one has had good or not so, results. Scott

For your next spark plug change, try out a set of Bosch Supers. For a whole four dollars, I think you will really be impressed. Do a search on this board on spark plugs, I know there is some very good information that you will find interesting.

Just a personal opinion, but if you noticed a difference from replacing good plugs after only 5k miles, you are using the wrong temperature range for the driving you do...

BPR6EIX must have been the right temp. Sure runs and idles good. I think I'm down on Plat-4's. Might be a good idea on some cars but not mine. Scott

You want a REALLY good plug for the 944's try the Beru Ultra-X. I'm thrilled with them. The bosch Platinum plus 4 plugs are NOT recommended for our cars. There have even been reports of the platinum electrode failing and falling out into the cylinder of the cars. Those platinum plugs are only good for one thing, LONG change intervals, not performance!
