You should be asking more than that, put OBO. If I was in the market, I would be looking at that car. If it's real clean - no BS, and can pass a PPI you should get what you ask within reason. I would fix the A/C and then ask top dollar.

Ross.
I think that price is fair. I think you could get a lot more if you fix the A/C.
A couple hundred dollars now could translate into a thousand or more on the price, as Abby suggested. In Houston in the summer, no a/c, no sale.
Sorry to see you are selling the car. It is very nice. Another time/place and I would buy it.

Yeah, I agree with the AC repair. But that's why I'm selling it at around $7000. If the AC was working I'd be asking $8500 minimum. But I figure, the next guy that buys it can take the $1500 he/she saved and fix the AC themselves. But I guess its more of an attractive selling point when the AC already works.

I think you might get a lot of people thinking, what kind of person owns a Porsche and cant afford to fix the AC? Whatever your reason is for not fixing it to the buyer it is kind of irrelevant. If someone on here wanted it no big deal, someone from the outside is certainly going to question it.

Good luck BTW.

Reason for not fixing the AC yet is because in the 2 years I've owned the car, I dropped some major cash on replacing clutch, fuel lines, suspension, belt/roller/seal job and a few other things. The way I saw it was, a car can't run with out a clutch or belts, a car can run without AC. So I focused on making the engine mechanically sound before the amenities like AC. That might be my weird way of sorting things out.

I think you should fix the AC and power steering and then mark the price up by the cost of the repair. People do not like to buy cars with anything broken especially if they fear that parts may not be available or may be very expensive.

Let me give everyone a clearer understanding of the condition of the car: The front end body pieces don't line up, the paint on the front edges of the doors has large, poorly touched-up areas, which I'm guessing is from where the front fenders were pushed backwards into them (also, there are many new parts at the front end of the car). The preparation for repaint apparently consisted of a few minutes with 80-grit sandpaper and nothing finer, especially on the headlight covers. That or they were painted with a paintbrush. The paint from the doors back appears original and is fairly dull. Some of the body trim gaskets are deteriorated. Overall, the interior is decent. But here's the kicker: if the headlights are turned on for a minute or so, there isn't enough juice left to make the starter solenoid even click (new battery and the car was driven earlier that morning). I don't know, maybe that has something to do with why the car hasn't sold?

Well....

That certainly sheds a different light on the topic.

Hey Stephen, I'll send you a PM about one I know of that may be for sale.

Stephen - I take it you went to look at this car?

I dont know if it is true or not but if it is then it would certainly detract from the value.

Yeah, I need all the help I can get finding a 951. I thought I had one in Atlanta, but maybe not. I have to check on it tonight. I'm trying to stay below $8500 - $9000.

Nick, Your 10 bucks will be mine. Eventually...

Stephen call George at 214-263-6055.

86 Black on Black with 100K for 8K but I think they are flexible. I would be happy to go look at it. Came to me by way of a guy at work who knows I am into them.

Yes, I looked at the car a few weeks ago. The car started right up with jumper cables, and the motor sounded fine. I didn't bother to drive the car.
