That is why all car manufacturers use an adaptive system when they use LEDs, the adaptive system takes inputs from steering and pitch to aim those LEDs to restore the light when the car hits a dip, brakes or steers left and right. I doubt very much they would go to that expense if they thought non-adaptive LEDs alone provided sufficient safety.

Ahh, got it. FWIW, the thread I mentioned before in the 928 forum tried a number of different LED bulbs, and ended up recommending one that emitted light in the same directions as a proper H4 bulb. Any LED bulb that doesn't do this is not going to perform optimally in these housings, as the reflectors and lenses are designed for that. Many of the alleged H4 LED bulbs do not do this, but apparently at least one of them does....although I don't recall if they specifically discussed turn-in lighting.

I drive primarily in the country. No street lights. There's plenty of light from my LED's to see street signs.

I just realized the link I referenced but did not provide might not be as easy to find as I thought, as the initial point of the thread was about designing a sealing mechanism for the LED bulbs. Also note that this directly pertains to the European 8" H4 housings in the 928, although it should apply to the 7" H4 replacements for sealed beam lights as well I would think.
