Hi Guys,
I covered over 440 miles today in my 944S in appaling weather (gale force winds/driving rain/sleet) to collect a 'new' 928 with a friend - it's his 4th 928...and yes, he still has the other 3!
Not unusual, the 944S is well up to the job. The miles were covered over a mixture of motorways and fast A and B roads (in the UK) and we were 'pushing on'.....100mph plus in places. We filled up with just about 55 litres at journeys end..that's over 36 mpg (UK gallons!)!!!
It's the fuel economy that's incredible - 443 miles and still not on reserve - well, above the red line and no red light...that's incredible...well, it is to someone used to 928's - 250miles / 70 ltrs and my 911 SC - 320 miles, 60 litres.
Who says you can't have performance and economy in the same package!
