I just bought a new shift boot, still looking for a cheap short shifter ($50). I kinda like the stock ****, I'm just going clean it up and put a nice cap on it.

If you guys want to wait about a month I have adaptor sets coming out that adapts the round hole (momo) **** to our shift leaver. No cutting or anything, just slip this plastic piece over your stock leaver and the *** slides over it.
I know you can get the round hole **** for REAL cheap so even with the cost of the adaptor you will save a bunch.

Heres mine with the "patend pending" DIY short shift kit. Actually, works fine. No vibrations, just click-click.

Speaking of shifters. . . . Does you know if anyone makes a "gated" shifter for 968's. Like Ferrari's have. I LOVE those. . . .

Travis, I don't know if you've seen them, but adaptors that do that (a cylinder with a slot milled in the middle) made of aluminum are already available for $20.

On the first and second page you will see most of my mods. The second page has a nice pic of the new gauges and shifter.

If you are getting vibration Performance Products has a great little product that will stop it. It is a little aluminum insert that adapts round base shift ***** for our rectangular shift stalk. Only $10 and totally takes away the vibration and makes it feel like stock. Ask the customer service person for the shifter adapter. Great product and I'm glad I found it as the vibration was annoying as hell. I have since switched to a custom Porsche shift **** with rectangular base so I sold mine. But definately check it out.

I have seen the ones on the market and I have a far superior design in the works. Vibration... what vibration.
The tooling is a breeze so its a gi-me.
