Default 944 Cup Nationals...The Video

The venue for the 944 Cup Nationals East was at Daytona International Speedway on October 26-28. Check out the video!

And thank you to the great sponsors who help support the series through the many prizes, great service and parts they provide throughout the year: http://44cup.com/sponsors

I thought a driver was not eligible for a championship if they were under 13,,,,?

Ah, ok, I think I understand.

So PCA and 944 Cup can have a champion in each of the 3 classes concurrently even if the top points driver is not necessarily the same.

Never knew that until today.

Yes, you are correct about the different scoring, standings, and champs between the two for each class. Somewhat redundant, but the 944 Cup has always done this differently than PCA, and preferred the 944 Cup format, a head to head National Championship race vs one where drivers may never race against their competition.

Take every opportunity to celebrate the water cooled models as they are such great cars that have endured the test of time.
