Default 944 question

Is the pinion bearing failure common in 944's like in some 968's? Also are 944 N/A transmissions made by Audi and the turbo has a porsche made one?

Yes, Very common.. (usually around 100,000mi) less likely to happen on the Locking Diff....
The turbo uses a similar VW unit... The only one that uses the Porsche box is the 924 (I belive turbo)
