Default Good luck and Bad Luck....

Well I'm sure all of you have seen the Silver 951 that i had for sale on the board and last weekend the car sold which is great news and I want to thank boostguy951 for the lead, also on the same day I sold a pair of race seats and an extra set of wheels in hand.......

So things are going well i'll be able to pay some debt and get the red951 fited up with big reds...

All that changed today, I got a call from the VW dealer and its going to be 1700 dollar to fix it.... the car is worth 7k on a good day, but is for sale for 6300....

So here I am up debt creek again and thinking of doing some quick fixes on the red 951 and putting it back on the road and up for sale.....

With that in mind anyone have stock front 951 calipers for sale cheap?

Damn it...................................................................... ........

Well no one to blame but myself, I didn't see that a curb formed in the middle lane 1/2 way around a turn and broke the power steering pump, bent the sub frame, broke some mounting brakets...... and few other odds and ends........

I just got off the phone with the VW dealer they are fixing the braket that I couldn't fix and hopefully i'll be able to do the rest myself, i'm searching high and low for used parts right now, and I think I might be able to get everything I need for under 700 with new parts, now just the issue of putting the parts in the car.....

hell if I can do a turbo swap on a 951 this shouldn't be out of the question right?

O-well..... There goes the big red fund........

Ian, get the parts from a scrap yard and fix the VW yourself. All of those items are bolt on and pretty easy to find, I bet you can fix it all for less than 400 bucks.

Yeah i'm calling around right now, and will be tomorrow as well to see if I can find all the parts, the GTI VR6's ain the A3 chasis are fairly rare so finding one is actually harder than finding most 944 parts in scrap yards....

Which VDub dealer did you take it too? The one on South Blvd sucks at service (they worked on the wife's Audi once).
