What is the Factory size of the torsin bars on a 84 944 and what size did the 951's come with.

'86 951's came w/ 24mm, the later '88+ 951 M030 and 968 (stock) are 25.5mm. I don't know about the earlier cars.

924S, 944, 944S with standard or M474 suspension: 23.5 mm
924S, 944, 944S with M030 or M637 suspension to end of '86: 24.5 mm
944S2 with standard or M474 suspension: 24 mm
951 with standard or M474 suspension to end of '88: 23.5 mm
951S, 951 '89 and later: 25.5 mm
924S, 944, 944S, 944S2, 951 with M030 or M031 suspension from '87: 25.5 mm

Go ahead and use them Skip, glad I could help. Yes, those are straight out of the factory manuals, and are as accurate as the manuals are.
