Your lady, Bra on or off?

Wet sanding is not bad for paint. It does remove imperfections (you need a very light touch). It also removes orange peel, runs, most of the god awful factory blunders and blems (BTW - factory paint jobs are starting to look worse and worse, even Porsches have an ungodly amount of orange peel), and better still it removes the stuff that a compound cannot.
What do you think compound is exactly?

I use one on the track and that is it! If a bra is left on for a long time it will cause hell on your paint! Dirt and other things get under there and it trash your finish if your not careful! Best wishes - Jay Gratton

No bra here..
We had one for the 84 N/A.. (The porsche factory bra)
I complained so much as a child that my father took it off the car.... and I was forever happy untill the sold the car and I cried T_T.... Then they purchased a new 944, 2 years later and this one had a lowering cab top and I was again forever happy
I often wondered if a bra would really help (I still think there ugly) and in many cases, I think they cause more harm then good. Blue S2 uses a bra about the only proper way you can and if you Daily Drive your car forget it!

ok Matt, wet sanding isnt necessarly bad, but if you dont have a clue of what youre doing, you can really screw it up. and youre right, wet sanding does remove orange peel, and other blemishes from paint. the thing is, if you got a good paint job, the guy who painted it should have already wet sanded and removed the orange peel.
if you use compounds, they do not take away as much paint as wet sanding, and also, if you use a porter cable orbital buffer, its nearly impossable to ruin paint.
