@tifosiman I suppose everyone has their own way of doing things. This is mine.

I have the 3M film on the 951 from the windshield forward, and in place of the stone guards around the wheel arches (and even doubled-up in front of the rear wheels). Also did 100% of my 911. You have to know it's there to see it. A friend of mine had his GT4 judged at a PCA concours and none of the judges even noticed until he told them. 3M and Expel are competitors, and there are a few others. I'm a believer in 3M, but to your point above, it all comes down to the installer. I'd take Expel by a great installer over 3M slapped on by a hack. Our local PPF sevant spent nearly a month fully wrapping the 911, as a reference point. He's probably the extreme, but run fast from anyone who wants to install a pre-cut "kit" over an afternoon or two... I have one nick/tear in the film on the front bumper of my 911, which would have been a rock chip for sure. It also dramatically increases the chance that door dings can be fixed with paintless dent removal -- should you be so gauche to park that baby next to other cars I mean. Needless to say, I'm a fan of the paint protection films.

@Tom M'Guinn
Yes on the 3M vs Expel camps.
I need to drive about 90 miles to get to the right shop so it will be inconvenient with drop off and pickup.
A buddy of mine had his GT3RS done at the dealership and they really did a schlock job.

It was just curiosity as to why you chose what you chose.

Thanks. Also enjoyed the tones of the new/old Blaupunkt Monterey today on the way home (nearly hit 1,200 miles). The radio has a great tone.
