I think he means rheostat on the dimmer switch.

what is that? would i have to take the dash apart to take that out?

ok my 15? and 17? are blown. do they sell these weird german fuses at autozones and advanced auto stores?

weird? mine are normal sized fuses, I know they sell them at wal-mart...lol

the cylinder type fuses? ive only seen the beaver teeth type fuses in stores. ill head out for wyself and report back. i need to get butter anyway.

Next to the rocker switch for the head lights is a gooved roller wheel. This is the instrument lights dimmer/reostat.

Fuse 12 is for the instruments, glove box, ash tray and license plate lights.

Any auto parts store has the fuses. Make sure you put the same amp fuse back in -- same color. Should be an 8 amp fuse.

O i got it, its an early 944. I guess they used the cylindrical ones
