Default gear selector lites

with lites on i have no ilumination on the segments to tell me what position the shift lever is located.

in looking at schematics i can't see how these lites are powered and i haven't lost anything electrically powered that i'm aware of.

any ideas

I have wondered if mine are suposed to be lit too. I have a later interior, but it still looks as if it should be lit. I would start out by checking all fuses.

Not to be a smartass, but replace the bulb? Have you taken a circuit tester to the socket?

the bulb wasn't making good contact. i pulled it out, put it in both ways and the electrons energized it either direction. thanks
